The court has jurisdiction over all traffic offenses, criminal misdemeanors, Town ordinance violations, and protective orders that occur within the Towns of Carefree and Cave Creek.

DISCLAIMER:

This court DOES handle the following:
•    Civil Traffic Cases
•    Misdemeanors (e.g. shoplifting)
•    Town Code Violations

This court DOES NOT handle the following:
•    Marriages (licenses or ceremonies)
•    Divorces
•    Lawsuits (small claims)
•    Evictions
•    Probate matters

Open Court is held each Tuesday from 9:00am until the cases are heard.  

The court is closed on the following days:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • Presidents’ Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Veteran’s Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Friday After Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Day

  • Day After Christmas Day

Effective January 1, 2014, the Carefree Municipal Court and the Cave Creek Municipal Court consolidated to become the Carefree Cave Creek Consolidated Court.
