The mission of the Town of Carefree Fire Department is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all residents and visitors by mitigating the impacts of natural and man-made emergencies.

Our goal is to deliver effective emergency response, enforce fire codes, and promote public fire education through a cost-efficient and proactive protection program.

Rural Metro Fire

Fire protection service within the town limits of the Town of Carefree is provided under contract by the Rural Metro Fire Department, Inc. There is no longer a subscription fee as of January 1, 2007. The Town is in Protection Class 3 or 9; however, you are rated in Protection Class 3 if your home is located within 5 miles of the fire station and / or 1,000 feet of a hydrant.
