PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES WILL BEGIN SOON ON YOUR ROADWAYS

Dear Carefree Residents:
Pavement maintenance activities will begin soon on your roadways. The activities will include a crack seal, a chip seal, and a topcoat slurry seal. These treatments will prolong the life of the roadway.
During this process, construction vehicles will be on the roadway, and you may encounter small delays while traveling on the roadways.
The crack seal will cure relatively quickly upon application so you will not have to worry about tracking the sealant. Please make sure to travel at a reduced speed, during construction activities, on the roadways and give the construction vehicles a large amount of clearance.
The crack seal will begin Monday (10/23) on public streets wrapping around Black Mountain. Please see the attached map for the general areas to be treated. The final surface preparation won’t start until late Spring of 2024. Construction activities will not occur during the holidays.
