Private Landowner Submits Special Use Permit (SUP) Application for Storage Units
The private landowner of a 1.76 acre commercially zoned parcel at the corner of Cave Creek Road and Bloody Basin Road has submitted to the Town of Carefree a Special Use Permit (SUP) application. This private property owner’s request is to construct an indoor-only climate-controlled storage facility referred to as Carefree Storehouse on this commercially zoned property.
Prior to the submission of this application, as the public review process requires, the property owner conducted two Neighborhood Meetings, collected public input, and made modifications to their plans. Now that this application has been submitted, the Town Staff will begin their technical review process to address ordinance related review. After this technical review pursuant to due process requirements, two public hearings will be publicly scheduled and publicly advertised. Please look for future Town announcements on these hearings through Town communication channels.
