Voter Registration
Deadlines

General
Election, November 8, 2016
Registration Deadline:  October 10, 2016 at midnight

                                                               Permanent
Early Voting List
Arizona has a law that allows voters to place their names on a Permanent Early Voting List. Voters on this list who are registered with a recognized party affiliation will automatically receive an early ballot, by mail, approximately 26 days before each election in which the voter is qualified to participate.

Voters on the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) not affiliated with one of the four recognized parties (Democratic, Republican, Libertarian and Americans Elect) will not automatically receive an early ballot.  Voters on PEVL not affiliated with a recognized party must first designate a ballot preference with the Maricopa County Elections Department.  Ballot preference requests can be made:

·       By returning the “90 Day Notice” card,

    By phone at 602-506-1511, or

·        In writing (including name, address, date of birth, party ballot selection, and signature) to the

Maricopa
County Elections,
Attn: Early Voting,
510
S. Third Avenue,
Phoenix, AZ 85003.

The deadline to designate a party or city-only ballot preference and still receive an early ballot by mail is
5:00 p.m. on
Friday, August 19, 2016.

Voters that do not make a ballot designation by the deadline, will be required to vote at an Early Voting Location or at their polling location where they will be required to designate a ballot preference.

This process does not apply to the General Election.

For more information on the Permanent Early Voting List, visit the Maricopa County Elections Department website at www.recorder.maricopa.gov or call 602-506-1511.
